A second meeting in Manchester the following year confirmed that interest in Low Flow Anaesthesia was alive and kicking.

Again delegates came from far and wide.

Cognitive Function during Inhalational Anaesthesia Chris Pomfritt England
Vaporizer in Circuit, Current Investigations David White England
Medico-Legal Aspects of Inhalational Anaesthesia Chris Hull England
**Direct Injection Techniques Geoff Lockwood England

Nigel Harper again organised the meeting.  It was held in the summer holidays and so attendance was down. A lesson learned!

However it was clear that there was plenty of interest in the subject of Low Flow Anaesthesia and over a beer or two a group of enthusiasts decided to for an Association to carry on from what Nigel had started.
