Mike Logan organised this meeting in the impressive surroundings of the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh.
As a result of decisions made after the previous meeting in Manchester Mike announced that all present were now members of ALFA.
He also said that Professor Alistair Spence had kindly agreed to be President of the Association.
This was thus the inaugural meeting of the Association for Low Flow Anaesthesia.
