As well as the "off-topic" talk (this time about rocket propulsion systems (Xenon being the link)) another ALFA tradition had evolved. We seemed to be settling into alternating between the UK and other European countries for our meetings. There was though a slight hitch to come as the lack of any information about ALFA2001 reveals.
The weather was of course superb.
Apparently no ALFA members were lost to the Danube, though given the sheer amount of beer and wine consumed this is little short of amazing.
The high point of the meeting was a restaurant in trans-pontine Ulm run by a snuff enthusiast. Once we had consumed a critical amount of beer and food (second meal of the evening) various automatic handmade wooden snuff-administration devices were produced.
